Daisy and Violet Hilton were conjoined twins joined at the hips and fused at the pelvis. They were a popular act in the US sideshow and vaudeville circuit in the 1920s/1930s.
By the late 1940s/early 1950s, their success faded. Their last appearance was at a drive-in movie theatre where their tour manager promptly abandoned them, forcing them to find work at a grocery store.
They died at age 60, due to the Hong Kong flu. Daisy died first, and then Violet about a week later.
